Recently, CCTV News reported that the first batch of power generation units of China's first 1 million kilowatt-level offshore photovoltaic project - the 1 million kilowatt offshore photovoltaic project in Kenli - have been successfully connected to the grid.

Eight kilometers off the coast of Dongying, Shandong Province, a silver matrix composed of hundreds of photovoltaic platforms is undulating with the tide. As the largest offshore photovoltaic project in the country's open sea area, it covers a sea area of 1,223 hectares and for the first time adopts long-distance transmission technology of 66-kilovolt submarine and land cables. This "steel island" standing on the sea was precisely constructed with the participation of Xinguangzheng.

Unlike onshore photovoltaic projects, offshore photovoltaic projects, due to the influence of the environment, impose extremely high requirements for the precision and stability of photovoltaic supports. Moreover, due to the extremely high salt content in seawater, it has a strong corrosive effect on metal components. Therefore, there are extremely high requirements for the surface anti-corrosion treatment of the project. The production team of Xinguangzheng adopts multiple protection processes to enable the project to operate continuously and stably in the harsh Marine environment.
